Diversity & Inclusion

Coming to college is a transition for all new students, but students who identify with underrepresented populations often wonder, “Is there anything at Virginia Tech for me?” The answer is a resounding yes!

The Virginia Tech student body is composed of many cultures, ethnicities, orientations, worldviews, personal journeys, economic statuses, and religions, and there are hundreds of student organizations on campus focused on diversity and inclusion. Each year, various cultural education programs are offered, and students are encouraged to take academic courses that will foster an understanding of cultural differences.

InclusiveVT is the institutional and individual commitment to Ut Prosim (That I May Serve) in the spirit of community, diversity, and excellence. It’s all the work and spirit behind efforts to enhance the climate of inclusivity to the Virginia Tech community and beyond.

Principles of Community

We even have entire departments dedicated to promoting inclusive learning, such as Cultural and Community Centers and Cranwell International Center.
