Counting down the days...

Hokie Bird

Are you counting down the days until you arrive at Virginia Tech? We are so excited for you to start your Hokie experience! This is a great place to start exploring. Be sure you’ve created your PID so when Orientation registration opens in March you’ll be ready.

If you haven’t already completed your Housing/Dining contract, go ahead and mark that off your to-do list. Even if you don't know who you want for your roommate, it's okay. You can complete the contract and come back later (worry free!). And be sure to check out Living-Learning Communities. They are a great way to ExperienceVT!

Are you counting down the days until you come to campus? Lucky for you, you won’t have to wait until classes start to lay your eyes on Blacksburg again—you’ll get a chance at New Student Orientation.

At First-Year Orientation, you’ll stay in a residence hall, meet with an academic advisor to set up your fall schedule, get familiar with campus, learn about Virginia Tech traditions, and connect with other incoming students. Over the course of two days, you’ll learn so much about Virginia Tech that you honestly won’t want to leave. Fortunately, you get to come back a month later. Sign up here to reserve your spot!

Transfer Orientation is the same deal (without the overnight stay), but you’ll be with other incoming transfer students. Make sure you sign up here!

When you sign up for Orientation on Hokie SPA, you’ll be asked to provide information on all family members and guests who will be attending with you. There’s a $35.00 fee assessed for each family member/guest attending Orientation—this fee provides a boxed lunch on day one, Orientation materials, and all related programming. In order to complete your sign-up and receive your Orientation date, you’ll be required to pay the family member/guest fee.
