Embrace Your Awesomeness

strengths

We think you are pretty great already, just because you're a Hokie. At Virginia Tech, we don't talk about our weaknesses. Instead, we focus on our strengths. That's why we are the first university in the nation to offer the CliftonStrengths assessment FREE to all students. Learn about how you work, what you value, and who you are becoming. And don't be surprised if someone asks you about your “top five” once you get to campus!

Students setting up

When in doubt, look for someone in a blue shirt. Those are Hokie Helpers—they’re a special breed of Hokie who love helping their community, and their fellow students. Hokie Helpers do it all, from giving directions to helping unload vehicles, carrying stuff, and even handing out snacks and water.
