This is Home... On-Campus Housing

Welcome to Virginia Tech... your home for the next 4 (maybe 5) years! Living on campus is not only convenient, it offers an exceptional and immediate opportunity for making important connections as you start college life. With more than 40 residence halls, you'll want to fully consider the variety of options for where you can live, learn, laugh, and launch your Virginia Tech experience. In fact, we strongly encourage you to check out our AMAZING living-learning communities -- more than a dozen unique communities guaranteed to offer a truly unique Hokie experience.

Click “Living Here” in the grey navigation bar above to explore all of our on-campus housing, as well as other tips and hints for life on campus and in Blacksburg. Completing your housing and dining contract is one of the most important tasks on your "I'm a New Hokie" checklist. Welcome home!

Joining a student organization means fusing your passions with people who care like you do.

You can work alongside other students, explore new things, dive deeper into what you already love, and hone those leadership skills (studies show: employers love seeing extracurriculars).

By the way, we call extracurriculars "co-curriculars."

The idea behind this is that learning happens both inside and outside the classroom. Co-curriculars are great opportunities to take what you learn in the classroom and apply it to your organization, as well as taking lessons from your outside-the-classroom involvement and applying those lessons to what is happening in the classroom. It's a win-win!

There are organizations for just about anything, from snowboarding and cancer fundraising to service projects and belly dancing.

For a taste of all the clubs and orgs at Virginia Tech, put Gobblerfest on your calendar! This year’s event will take place on Friday, August 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. on the Drillfield. There are nearly a billion (slight exaggeration) booths and activities set up so that you can explore all the opportunities out there.

You’re probably wondering, “How in the world am I supposed to find an organization for me?” Let us introduce GobblerConnect.

GobblerConnect is the place to start looking for an organization to join.
